From projection to reflexivity. A In the deforming and unconscious process of projection characteristic of subjectivity, there is the subjective impression that the outer world is, or should be, as the inner world conceives it. B On the contrary, by turning the gaze inwards, reflexivity enhances lucidity, as there is a more acute consciousness that the outer world is being perceived through a subjective filter and greater awareness of the biases inherent in this filter. Thus, both inner and outer worlds are more accurately perceived
